COMPANY OF WATERMEN AND LIGHTERMEN - LIGHTING PROJECT
Lighting the way forward..
The present Watermen’s Hall was built in 1780 being designed by William Blackburn for the Company. It is the only original Georgian Hall in the City of London.
The Court Room ,the most prestigious room in the building, with its grand high ornate ceilings and gold leaf decor, facilitating events such as corporate dinners and even the occasional wedding.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
KSA Was contracted to design and supply the LED lighting system that was to be mounted along the upper picture rail / pelmet area . The LED lighting system was going to be installed to provide accent lighting to the ceiling of the Court Room to emphasise the gold leaf details and the typical ornate Georgian facades.
The project was complicated by the fact that no drilling into existing walls or surface mounted trunking was permitted in order to house the new lighting system.
So an RF system with bespoke controllers was designed to control the lighting from a remote source without the use of wires and utilising existing cable runs to provide power to the driver units.
The final result was commended, due to the lighting systems , efficency and future reductions in long term maintenance .
Lighting system used - EDGEBRIGHT with bespoke controllers.
